Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam,

Artificial Scarcity

I was asked to curate a screening program taking from the Stedelijk’s single channel video collection and new one-minute videos solicited via an open call. As a starting point I suggested to investigate the concept of artificial scarcity as we might encounter in economics, but also in language and artistic process. The works from the program will remain on view as part of the permanent collection exhibition, as well as on a video screen in the entrance hall.

With works by Samuel Beckett, Culturesport, Martha Rosler, Petra Cortright, and many more.

Thanks go out to Karen Archey and Henri Sandront of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and Julia van Mourik of The One Minutes Foundation.
